My Favorite US Representative

James Traficant, an Ohio Democrat facing expulsion from Congress, referring to Russell Crowe’s character from the hit film “Gladiator,” on what his actions would be if he is incarcerated and then escapes. – Via Newsweek
The man, James Traficant (D-OH) makes an utter mockery of the House of Representatives. He trades political favors for money and services (and doesn’t bother to hide this fact), he curses in courtrooms, he makes ridiculous speeches, he says “Beam me up!” all the time and he calls the IRS the “Internal Rectal Service.” He is currently representing himself in court, and facing expulsion from Congress. He makes comments like the above, and wears brightly colored lesiure suits to court. The other day he was an hour late to court, claiming he didn’t know he was supposed to be there that day.
That is why he is my favorite US Representative. Whats not to love? He’s like a wonderful caricature of everything wrong and strange about the US Government.
